Descending to Pagsanjan Falls

After a family visit in San Pablo City, where we had great food, we decided to spice up a bit our lazy family time and got a car to explore Pagsanjan Falls.

Our first adventure was to find it. It has access from main road from Pagsanjan to Cavinti. There are two ways how to get to see it, the hard way, trekking and descending to it on your feet, or get there on wooden raft pushed upstream by a boatman. We chosen the better one, of course.

Going down was more exciting then we thought, at first it is just a path in the forest, then it turns in concrete steps and later on to long metal ladders.

We went there during rainy season, in October 2013, right after a storm, so water level was very high.

Despite that, we could go on the wooden raft to peak behind the waterfall. The pressure of falling water was impressive, we held to the raft like fighting for our lives.

And then it has come. Going up from the deep canyon back up on the hill was quite an exercise, but it was worth it, besides the path is always in shade, protecting from hot sun.
