Mati with Martin

It was April 2014. To get out of the "normal" of the Paradise in Samal Island, we wanted to do something new and so we decided to go on a road trip from Davao to Mati. As we got to the Pujada Bay, there was a first proof that we have chosen the right place to enjoy- turquoise waters,

We stopped in famous Dahican Beach, known for surfing, where is also a protected turtle nest right inside a busy public resort. Further down south alongside the Pujada bay towards Tamisan, there are several resorts and in one of them we arranged the island hopping.

The main reason why we went to Mati was to chill out and snorkel, we found a place to stay near Mati and Dahican Beach. The food  and beer in the center of Mati and short digestion walk was worth it.

During the first hour of Island hopping we got stuck in the middle of the bay without propeller, which detached from the boat, and even a fisherman passing by was not able to help us so we made it paddling towards the Pujada Island on our own.

First impression was amazing, even if there were "only" corals and no big fish, the corals were well preserved and big.

The water was so transparent that we could not stop just playing around. I proposed to Anna just for fun and she did not even know about it until we came home.

The beach was equally amazing, pure white sand, no commerce, no people, just some fishermen and their family.

After all we were lucky to spot this astonishing public transport for the corral fish.
